Rundebrua – The Bridge that Connects the Islands
Rundebrua (Runde Bridge) is an impressive cantilever bridge that crosses Rundasundet between the islands of Remøya and Runde in Herøy municipality, Møre og Romsdal. The bridge opened in 1982 and forms an important part of County Road 5876. It stretches 428 metres in length and rises to 30 metres above the sea.
With its elegant and robust design, Rundebrua is one of the most spectacular bridges along the weather-beaten West Norwegian coast. It connects the small but world-famous bird mountain Runde — known for its enormous seabird colonies and stunning nature — with the rest of the island community.
